Camp Descriptions

Mini Camp  is a wonderful introduction to our overnight camps. For many rising 2nd and 3rd graders, an entire week of overnight camp may seem like a big undertaking and so we offer just a taste of camp! With a similar schedule to our overnight Elementary Camp, Mini Camp offers many of the same activities and experiences in a shorter experience including gaga ball, hiking, singing silly songs, and much more! 

3-day, 2-night camp ($362.50) open to campers entering grades 2nd-3rd grade in Fall 2026.   July 1-3, 2026

Elementary Camp  is filled with new challenges, faith-building experiences, and tons of fun for your growing camper. With opportunities to participate in archery, games, fishing, crafts, hiking and more – Elementary camp is one adventure after another. Campers are sure to fill your vehicle with camp songs, great stories, and many laughs on the way home; get ready for a fun ride!

6-day, 5-night camp ($725) open to campers entering grades 3rd-6th in Fall 2026.  June 28-July 3, 2026

 

Jr. and Sr. High Camps are filled with new and old friends, exciting activities, new adventures, and engaging worship. Campers participate in traditional Mingus Mountain camp activities with the added daily freedom to choose new activities! This week of camp will provide an experience campers will remember for years to come.

6-day, 5-night camps ($725) open to campers entering grade 7th-graduated seniors in Fall 2026. June 28-July 3, 2026

NEW: Elementary Night Owls: inspired by one of the best parts of childhood-those nights when you got to stay up a little later and laugh a little louder. This unique, age-appropriate camp week gives campers a chance to experience that same magic in a safe, caring, and thoughtfully structured environment. Campers will enjoy glow-in-the-dark games, evening adventures, classic Mingus activities, and meaningful moments of worship and faith discovery all with a gently shifted schedule that still prioritizes rest, routine, supervision, and many opportunities to develop new or build on existing friendships. It’s the kind of week that reminds kids how to be kids… and reminds parents of the joy of growing up.

Junior High/Senior High Night Owl campers experience all the joys of camp at this “upside-down” session, but while staying up late (until 2:30 – 3:00am) and sleeping until 11:30 am. Become a true night owl with nighttime hikes, night zipping, glow-in-the-dark painting, night disc golf, and so much more to explore! We’ll share in this fun while growing our faith, growing friendships, and growing our night vision! Who knows? You may not need a flashlight after spending a week in community under the cover of darkness!

6-day, 5-night camps ($725) open to campers entering grades 7 – graduated seniors in Fall 2026. July 12-17, 2026

Senior High Adventure: Beach Camp will challenge senior high campers physically and spiritually! Join us for an adventurous week of activities in sunny Southern California where we will camp out, hang at the beach and atch a wave with some surf lessons. This is a week filled with tough faith questions, relationship building, teamwork, and memorable experiences while enjoying outdoor adventures and developing a deeper appreciation and enjoyment of God’s amazing creation!

6 day-5 night camp ($900) open to campers entering grade 9-graduated seniors in Fall 2026. June 14-19, 2026

 

CAMPERSHIPS (aka a scholarship but for camp)

Need a campership? First, ask your home UMC church! We love working with churches to help bring youth to camp. If your church is not able to help, contact Emma at egowan@dscumc.org  and make sure to note on your camper’s registration that you are interested in receving information about camperships! We believe camp is for everyone and finances should never be a barrier to coming to camp.

PAYMENT PLANS

Did you know we offer payment plans? The sooner you register for camp, the better! Your payments will be spread out between your registration date and July 1, paid on the first of every month. If you are intersted in a payment plan, select “Deposit + Installments” during registration.
