Over the past several years, our church campus has undergone significant updates and improvements made possible through the Capital Campaign conducted from 2016–2019, along with proceeds from the sale of the back sports field (now the new housing community behind the church).
The original vision for that campaign included both new construction and campus updates. At the completion of the capital campaign, when full funding for new construction was not raised, the church chose to move forward with critical repairs, infrastructure upgrades, and campus improvements that would best support ministry and care for our facilities.
A list of work and scope was agreed upon. As a result, substantial work has been completed across the campus.
In the sanctuary, renovations have included new carpet, updated chair and pew coverings, renovated bathrooms, narthex improvements, and the installation of a new air conditioning unit.
Across our classrooms and shared spaces, classrooms have been refinished and bathrooms near classrooms updated.
Within the Activity Center, bathrooms and showers were renovated, air conditioning was updated, and new flooring was installed throughout the Activity Center and kitchen to support year-round use.
Important technology and infrastructure upgrades were also made, including running fiber and data cables throughout the campus, a new phone system, and updated streaming equipment and cameras to support worship and hybrid ministry. Many of these systems continue to be updated as technology needs evolve.
For safety and accessibility, the parking lot was refinished, and dead, dying, or hazardous trees and plants were removed to improve visibility and reduce risk.
Together, these projects reflect careful and faithful use of the resources available, addressing long-standing facility needs while strengthening the campus that supports our shared ministry.
As we look ahead, the remaining renovation work on our list continues to focus on long-term sustainability, accessibility, and responsible campus care. Many of these projects are expected to recoup some costs through grants, rebates, or significantly reduced maintenance and utility expenses.
Projects currently underway or being planned include:
Improved campus signage for visibility and wayfinding
Continued infrastructure refinements
A multi-phase landscape approach designed to support safe movement, accessibility, and water-wise, low-maintenance plantings
Future campus improvements will continue to prioritize reducing long-term maintenance needs, improving accessibility for all, and ensuring that the campus remains adaptable and supportive of ministry for years to come.
We are grateful for the vision, generosity, and patience that have shaped this season of campus renewal. As this chapter of renovation continues to unfold, our commitment remains centered on stewardship, sustainability, and caring well for the physical spaces entrusted to us.
With gratitude,
The Renovation Team
