Easter is only the beginning………………………………..

What a glorious Easter we shared together on March 31!  The early hour in the garden, with the sun peeking over the horizon, was a very special blessing.  But it was followed by a series of blessings:  services with brass and choirs and praise bands, acknowledging again and again the wonderful truth that Christ is risen, and nothing will ever be the same again.

I have heard that some of you will never look at a can of “hare” spray in quite the same way again!
But Easter is only just beginning.  The liturgical season of Easter goes on until the day of Pentecost on May 19, enacting again the time Jesus spent with his followers before ascending into heaven, and the time they spent in deep prayer, awaiting the promised gift of the Spirit. have heard that some of you will never look at a can of “hare” spray in quite the same way again!

This is a great time to explore what it all means for us today.  What is it we believe about this one that came and lived among us, and died, and was resurrected?  What do we believe about the One who made us all?  What do we believe about the Spirit of God that enlivens our hearts and enables us to hear the good news of Christ?

I hope you will plan to be here every Sunday for an exploration of our beliefs as we move slowly through the dense phrases of the Apostle’s Creed.  I think it will be worth your while, and mine as I prepare.

Blessings and Peace,

Pastor Deborah
