Welcome to the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert.
If you are looking for a church home, we certainly hope you will prayerfully
consider being an active part of this Christian community.
We are a church steeped in tradition yet also innovative in new forms of ministry. Since the early days of the history of this community when the original Gilbert family and the Chandler family all first worshipped at the Chandler Methodist Church in Chandler, Methodism has been a vital force in this area. Then Methodists from First United Methodist Church in Mesa and Methodists from Gilbert worked together to kick off a Sunday School program in Gilbert. From the beginning a strong foundation has been laid in Gilbert for worship, Christian education and community outreach.
Here at the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert we seek to grow spiritually and provide a Christian witness in our community just like this church has always done, and similar to ways that your church "back home" may have provided you with a Christian "extended family" feeling.
