Born in the South in 1954, and raised in the four seasons of northern Michigan.  Michael grew up playing baseball, football, making friends, going to the beach, and skiing in the winter time. He graduated from Arizona State University, and went on to complete his Seminary education at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He and his wife Wendy have served churches in North Carolina, Yuma AZ, Mesquite NV, and Kingman AZ. He has been told many times that his greatest asset as a pastor is his talented wife, Wendy—and it’s certainly true!

Lastly, Michael is a fisherman, a camper, a hiker, and an avid bicyclist. He is a strong advocate of both spiritual and physical health and has been told by a colleague that his daily diet is “radical.”
